With its values, the group participates strongly in its close environment.
Acting responsibly
To better integrate in its local environment, ID Logistics created in 2002 a charity called “ID Esperenza” (renamed IDEBRA in 2011), which contributes to educating children and teenagers in the Beira Mar favela, in the immediate vicinity of one of the group’s sites in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This project was managed directly by the group, to make sure that funds were properly used, and to manage the achievements. The goal is to bring back children and teenagers in the education system, through a series of educational (remedial classes), sports (volley ball), and leasure (dance, reading and singing workshops) projects.
Since its creation, 1380 children and teenagers have benefited from the program.
The annual cost exceeds 300000 reals: half of it is paid by ID Logistics, the other half is paid by the program’s partners (clients of suppliers of the group).
In 2010, the program’s managers proudly saw one of the youths enter university, for the time in the history of the Beira Mar favela’s history.
