2012: Contract Manager
Since 2014: Regional Head of Operations
How do you feel in your current job?
My current position is very interesting and allows me to work on all aspects of our business, such as HR, finance, operations and customer relations. It is fascinating and exciting.

I joined ID in 2013 during an internship after finishing my degree following a supply chain seminar organised at my university. I joined the teams in South Africa directly in order to help with opening the country up at various levels: operational, training and projects. I am currently Operations and Development Engineer in Johannesburg.
Training
I was trained in the WMS tool as soon as I joined the company. Later on I benefited from an integration course as I worked at various ID Logistics sites.
What are your main duties?
My job has two main aims. As an Operations Engineer, I work on logistics sites in order to implement optimisation and innovation solutions with operating staff at the level of processes, methods and tools. As an R&D Engineer, I carry out pre-project studies in order to offer our customers the best logistics solutions, thereby ensuring high quality distribution at reduced cost.

In 2007, I joined the Operations Department to help with the development and structuring of the company. In 2011, the company assigned the Re-engineering and Start-up unit to me, with the management of a team of project managers. In 2013, wanting to take on new challenges, I moved into the role of site manager.
Why and how have you evolved?
My development at ID Logistics can be summarised as follows:
– My strong commitment in the duties assigned to me and my desire to work as part of a team.
– The notion that a job is what you want to make of it. The company’s development means that you need to play a driving role in your position.
– Proximity and communication with management, meaning that everyone is able to express their professional aspirations.
