Astrid was born out of a simple observation: inventory is time-consuming, costly, and prone to error. The need to automate the process and improve reliability had become essential.
ID Story
Astrid is an autonomous robot designed for stock-taking. It captures, analyses and validates data entirely on its own, revolutionising inventory management.
ID Story
In 2019, the project got off the ground with a clear objective: to prove that a robot can carry out an inventory independently and reliably.
ID Story
The first prototype was developed. It was a minimum viable product, designed to test the concept in real-world conditions.
ID Story
The very first automated inventory has been carried out. The proof of concept has been validated: automation is possible.
ID Story
Two years later, a new milestone was reached with a pre-production robot that was more robust and more efficient.
ID Story
The concept has been improved: increased productivity, optimised photo quality and enhanced reliability. Astrid is now more accurate and efficient.
ID Story
Astrid entered mass production in 2023. The production model meets the performance targets.
ID Story
Astrid is now up and running on-site. Inventory automation is becoming a reality, helping to ensure stock accuracy.
